Save Money on Cooling Costs

Cooling your house cheaply can be a real challenge if you live in a warm, humid climate; however, you can reduce your cooling costs by employing some crafty maneuvers.

Engineer some creative landscaping to reduce the amount of sunlight that pours into your windows. Wide-leafed shrubs and strategically placed trees will reduce the amount of incoming solar energy, effectively reducing summer cooling bills as much as 50 percent. Trees, shrubs and vines circulate water through the leaves.
